Quality is not optional.
In feeds, rearing and meat supply, cutting corners costs customers money. We manage quality at every stage because our buyers depend on it.
How we manage quality.
These are the six areas where Medel Comchick applies consistent standards across feeds, bird rearing and poultry meat supply.
Feed Sourcing and Inspection
Raw materials are inspected before use. We source maize bran and feed ingredients from suppliers we know, and we check for quality, contamination and moisture before anything goes into our feeds.
Bird Housing and Environment
Birds are housed under managed conditions with attention to ventilation, temperature and stocking density. Poor housing is one of the main causes of poor bird performance and we take it seriously.
Health Monitoring
Flocks are observed daily. Signs of disease or stress are acted on promptly. We work with veterinary support and maintain records of treatments, mortality and bird condition throughout the rearing cycle.
Vaccination and Biosecurity
Birds follow structured vaccination schedules aligned with disease risks in Uganda. Movement in and out of bird housing is controlled and biosecurity protocols are followed consistently, not selectively.
Slaughter and Hygiene
Dressed poultry is processed under hygienic conditions. Cleanliness at slaughter is non-negotiable. As we develop our processing facility, these standards will be formalised and expanded.
Supply Reliability
Customers who depend on us for feeds or bird supply need consistency. We manage our operations to deliver on commitments and communicate early when anything changes.
Good feeds. Healthy birds. Reliable supply.
“The buyer who depends on us for feeds or birds is depending on us to get it right. We do not take that lightly.”
