Medel Comchick Uganda Limited is a Ugandan poultry company working across feeds, bird rearing and poultry meat supply, with serious plans for what comes next.

Medel Comchick Uganda Limited operates in three active areas: poultry feed supply, bird rearing, and dressed poultry meat. We supply maize bran and formulated feeds to farmers, buy day-old chicks, raise them under managed conditions and sell mature birds, and slaughter birds to supply local buyers with dressed poultry meat.
We are also working toward two significant expansions. The first is a local breeder farm, which would allow Ugandan poultry businesses to source chicks without depending on imports from Rwanda. The second is a processing facility that will allow us to cut, portion, package and distribute poultry meat to a much higher standard than is currently possible.
This is a practical business built on real operations. The ambitions we have are grounded in what we already do, and the steps we are taking toward them are concrete.

Poultry Feeds
We supply maize bran, poultry feed ingredients and formulated feeds including starter, grower, layer and broiler feeds. Our products go to smallholder farmers and larger poultry operations across Uganda.
Bird Rearing
We buy day-old chicks, raise them under managed conditions and sell mature birds into the local poultry market. We are working toward establishing our own breeder farm to reduce dependence on chicks imported from Rwanda.
Poultry Meat
We slaughter birds and supply dressed poultry meat to local buyers and traders. We are building better processing, packaging and distribution capacity to serve this market more effectively.
The next phase of Medel Comchick.
Our current operations are the foundation. What we are building next will give Medel Comchick a much stronger position in Uganda's poultry sector and, in time, regional markets.
Breeder Farm
A local farm producing day-old chicks in Uganda. This will reduce what Medel Comchick and Uganda's wider poultry industry pay for imported chicks from Rwanda and other countries.
Processing Facility
A proper facility for hygienic slaughter, cutting, portioning, packaging and cold storage. This opens better market access and makes export a realistic goal.
Cold Chain and Distribution
Refrigerated logistics and distribution infrastructure that lets us supply supermarkets, institutions and markets beyond our current reach.
Regional Export
Once processing capacity is in place, Medel Comchick is well-positioned to develop export into East African markets and pursue formal export certification.
